 Live Every Moment!

Believe in Yourself.
Every day. Every Single day.
There is so much of you that no one can see,
There is More to you than anyone knows.
You are Amazing!

This lady is not beautiful. Nope, I assure you, not going to appear on a magazine as a model. Did I want to change things about me?
Hmm, be thinner or taller or "prettier" or have straight hair when mine was curly, or be tanner, or have no freckles?
Yep, Yes, Si'. I sure did, at different times in my life.

And then one day, I woke up.
And looked at that face in the mirror.
And stopped sticking my tongue out at my reflection.
I started telling myself the same things I tell my children.
I started smiling when I got a compliment, instead of coming up with a reason it wasn't true.
I began to accept me.

And guess what???? One day, I decided I like me.
Hehe, good thing, Because....
WE CANNOT BE ANYONE ELSE BUT OURSELVES.

~And that IS good enough!

Love, and Joy, and Music.

Lost in music, I do love guitar.
It's funny how many memories are tied into music that we hear.
When I hear children singing the same songs that I learned as a child, I get mental pictures of the dear people that taught me music, my mother, my family, school teachers over the years.

Some Christmas songs remind me of family, others of my teen years. There are songs that remind me of when my children were tiny. I remember singing "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" at the top of my lungs driving late one night through Caracas. The first time I heard Jose Feliciano sing "Felíz Navidad" I had newly arrived in Mexico, and didn't even know Spanish. It was how I learned to pronounce it, hehe.

There are songs that remind me of other years and other times. And it becomes a living photo album. All I have to do is close my eyes, and the people live again.

How rich is our life when we have Love, and Joy, and Music.
